How To Use Capers

Capers are great for adding a piquant flavor to sauces and even for scattering sparingly through salads, but be cautious how you use them. They can have an overpowering effect on any food they come into contact with.
There are two things I recommend you do. One is to rinse the capers to remove the salty liquid they are pickled in, and the other is to chop them. This will make them go further, spread them evenly through a sauce and avoid someone getting a mouthful of whole capers. This is not necessarily a pleasant experience.
